UN HABITAT 2007 SCROLL OF HONOUR AWARD
The Habitat Scroll of Honor is awarded each year on World Habitat Day, which was established by the United Nations General Assembly to raise awareness about the state of human settlements.

This year, UN-HABITAT Executive Director Mrs. Anna Tibaijuka will present the awards to the winners as part of this year’s Global Celebrations of World Habitat Day, on 1 October 2007, in The Hague, The Netherlands, and on 5 October 2007 in Monterrey, Mexico.
The Palestinian Housing Council (PHC) is awarded this prestigious award for exceptional endeavors in helping provide homes, apartments, employment prospects and bringing new hope to countless Palestinian families.

The aim of the habitat scroll of honor award is to recognize individual and institutions instrumental in improving the living conditions in urban centers around the world “said Mrs. Anna.
